The Pride Screen Adaptor is designed to enable the regular Pride pet door to be installed in a screen.

A Pride Screen Adaptor combined with a Pride Pet Door is a much sturdier approach to installation of a pet door in a screen because the adaptor is supported by the screen framing on two sides. This is the best approach for larger or more active dogs.  Sizes are available to accommodate small, medium and large Pride pet doors.

Please review the Pride 'Installation' information to clarify the Pride Screen Adaptor installation. Remember that you usually need both the screen adaptor and the pet door (if you are moving a Pride Pet Door from a door to a screen then you only need the adaptor).

Important: The Pride adaptor is a 'U' shape intended to fit over a screen frame no thicker than  ¹/₂". If your screen frame is thicker than this, the 'U' shape will have to be 'ripped' with a table saw to an 'L' shape which can then be installed. If you have a question on this point, please call.

Hot Tip:  Check the clearance needed to open the screen. The Pride Pet Door locking cover frame will protrude about ¹/₂" from the front of the pet door towards the inside of the house. If the screen is next to the door, then that track could interfere with opening the screen all the way. Hint: The locking cover tracks can be removed by drilling out the rivets that hold it. We don't think you really want a locking cover on a screen install anyway as the dog may paw and tear the screen if he's locked out by the pet door.

Important: You'll also need the Pride pet door to fit in the screen adaptor.
