This same wall kit may be used to adapt the new  Ideal "Protector Series" pet door to a wall.

The Ruff Weather Wall Kit extends the self framing feature of the Ruff Weather pet door or the Protector Series pet door to accommodate 2x4 and 2x6 stud walls (4³/₄" - 5¹/₄" or 6³/₄"-7¹/₄"). 

The "Combo" Kit" includes a Ruff Weather pet door and a Wall Kit together and simply makes purchasing them both more simple. There is no price advantage either way.

The second group of kits works exactly like the "Combo" kits but includes an Ideal Protector Series pet door instead of the Ruff Weather Pet Door. Note that there is no Small size in the Ideal Protector series.
